Membership Eligibility
Healthcare Employees FCU is here to assist the financial needs of all of our members! You are eligible to become of member of HEFCU if any of the following apply:
- $5 into a Primary Savings account will establish your HEFCU membership.
- Your employer offers HEFCU as a free employee benefit (you may contact us or your HR to determine)
- You are, or become, a Personal Member of the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA)
- An immediate family member is a member of HEFCU
To become a HEFCU member, simply complete and submit a membership application or visit one of our branch locations.
Membership Through Your Employer
If your employer does not already offer our credit union as a free employee benefit, refer us to your Human Resources/ Benefits Manager. A representative from the credit union will be happy to contact them to discuss membership. Simply call 609-951-0700 and ask for our Business Development Officer, or email us.
Family Membership with HEFCU
Family members can also enjoy the benefits of HEFCU membership! If you are a spouse, significant other, child, parent, sibling, grandparent, or simply live in the same household of a person eligible to join, you are also eligible to join whether they become a member or not.
Personal Membership
Personal Members of the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) are eligible for membership in the Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union (HEFCU).
Upon approval as a Personal Member by NJHA and remittance of membership dues (one-time, $15 non-refundable, made payable to NJHA), you will be eligible for lifetime membership at HEFCU, which will then entitle you to access and participation in all of the benefits and services offered by HEFCU.

*An initial deposit of $5 into a Primary Savings account will establish your account membership.
