MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Healthcare Employees FCU is here to assist the financial needs of, you guessed it, healthcare employees! You are eligible to become of member of HEFCU if any of the following apply:
- Your employer belongs to the New Jersey Hospital Association
- Your employer belongs to the New Jersey Association of Non-Profit Homes for Aging, Inc.
- Your employer belongs to the New Jersey Association of Health Care Facilities
- Your employer belongs to the Home Health Agency Assembly of New Jersey
- You are, or become, a member of the Friends of the Foundation
- You are, or become, a Personal Member of the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA)
- An immediate family member is a member of HEFCU
To become a HEFCU member, simply complete and submit a membership application or visit one of our branch locations.

MEMBERSHIP THROUGH YOUR EMPLOYER
If your employer does not already offer our credit union as a free employee benefit, refer us to your Human Resources/Benefits Manager. A representative from the credit union will be happy to contact them and help your employer through the process of membership. Simply call 1-800-624-3312 and ask for our Business Development Officer.
FRIENDS OF THE FOUNDATION MEMBER PROGRAM
For more information and to apply to become a Friend of the CrossState Credit Union Foundation click here. Click on Become a Friend and complete the information requested. Once we receive notification from the foundation of your intent to become a member, we will send you a HEFCU application to complete and return.
PERSONAL MEMBERSHIP
Personal Members of the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) are eligible for membership in the Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union (HEFCU).
Personal members are individuals who either work in or provide a service to the healthcare industry in New Jersey and who are interested in promoting and delivering health services towards the goal of providing quality health care to the people of New Jersey AND are interested in accessing the services offered by HEFCU and are ineligible to participate in HEFCU under any other membership class.
Upon approval as a Personal Member by NJHA and remittance of membership dues (one-time, $15 non-refundable, made payable to NJHA), you will be eligible for lifetime membership at HEFCU, which will then entitle you to access and participate in all of the benefits and services offered by HEFCU.

*An initial deposit of $10 into a Primary Savings account will establish your account membership. Fees may apply for low balance accounts, please be sure to review the fee schedule provided in your welcome letter.
