What is Shared Branching? Shared Branching is a cooperative network of credit unions that allows members of participating credit unions throughout New Jersey and the United States to perform transactions at locations in other participating credit unions and stand alone service centers. Your membership and accounts remain at your credit union, but allow you to access your accounts and conduct business with your credit union through any shared branch location. Shared branch locations are identified by the "swirl" logo. The following types of transactions are available at most shared branch locations: vAccount Balance Inquiries vDeposits vWithdrawals vLoan Payments vTransfers between accounts vTraveler's Checks vMoney Orders vAnd Much More! *Please note that there may be costs associated with certain services and transactions rendered - ie. traveler's checks, money orders, etc. HEFCU will not charge its members for deposits, withdrawals, balance inquiries, transfers or loan payments. How do I find a Shared Branch location? There are more than 1,500 locations nationwide for your convenience while traveling or on vacation. Shared Branching also provides you the convenience of maintaining your relationship with your credit union if you relocate. The most up-to-date shared branch locations are available online at www.cuservicecenters.net. This site also has a zip code locator to simplify your search. We’ve provided a list of the New Jersey Shared Branch locations on the back of this sheet for your convenience, but for the most up to date information, visit the website, it’s easy! Where do I go once inside the location to process my transactions? Look for the "swirl" logo at the teller windows. At most shared branch locations all tellers will accept shared branching transactions. If you are not sure, just ask a member service representative to direct you. How do I use a Shared Branch? 1. Visit the location of your choice. 2. Identify yourself as a shared branching member and provide the teller with your credit union name and account number. 3. Show the teller valid photo identification. 4. Complete your transaction.
